Britta Care Manor Welcomes Dick

On November 5th, Britta Care Manor welcomed Dick to our residential care facility in Anaheim.  Dick wasn’t there even 2 hours when he and his delightful  family were out celebrating his son, Tim’s birthday on the patio.  Dick is a engaging conversationalist, enjoys music and singing, particularly barbershop quartets and enjoys topping a day off with a little ice cream.  No doubt, Dick is the mover and shaker of Britta Care Manor.

The Best Faces of Halloween

On a sunny October afternoon, John, Vince and Aaron embarked on carving pumpkins worthy of Halloween.  John thought that his pumpkin should have 32 teeth, but he settled for 16…well, 15 really….one fell out.  It was fun reminiscing of past halloweens of  carving pumpkins with their families and passing out Halloween treats.  John recalled dressing up one year as a “jackrabbit with a big fluffy tail.”  The biggest joy, though, was watching Aaron carve his first pumpkin!

Britta Care Manor Welcomes Vince

Britta Care Manor welcomed Vince as its newest resident on October 21st.  Vince was accompanied by his two daughters and easily acclimated to his new home.  Vince enjoys doing crossword puzzles and all sorts of word games as well as keeping up with the news.  His sense of humor keeps all of us on our toes.  His positive demeanor is a great asset to our home.
 

Britta Care Manor Welcomes Two New Residents

On the grand opening day of Britta Care Manor, Thelma and John joined our BCM family. Thelma honored us by cutting the ribbon for the opening of our residential care facility in Anaheim. She enjoys reading books with friends and watching television. John loves being outdoors, keeping up with the news and golf. Both of our new residents were joined by their families and easily settled into their comfortable surroundings. We look forward to offering activities, sociality and an environment that continues to enrich their lives.

Britta Care Manor Celebrates Grand Opening

Britta Care Manor celebrated its grand opening of its residential care facility in Anaheim on October 8, 2007 with the newest additions of our BCM family of Thelma and John. Thelma participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony to the applause of her daughter, caregivers and owners. Thelma’s unsolicited response to her tour of her new home was “Oh, it’s just so beautiful!” Thelma’s gentle and delightful spirit truly graces our home. John arrived later in the day and in short order his wife and son had his room completely decorated with furniture and inspirational pictures. John was all smiles through dinner and as he settled into his own chair in the living room. His quiet smile lights up the room. Our caregivers were awesome in their attention to every detail on our first day, including putting on Thelma’s Ponds cream. We invite family and friends to visit often. You are also welcome to leave messages for anyone in our BCM family on this blog. Britta Care Manor provides residential care for the elderly at its licensed six-bed residential care facility in Anaheim, California. Britta Care Manor provides assisted living services to our elderly residents in a home environment with a focus to maintain and enhance their independence and dignity. Our licensed facility is a spacious single story home, located on the border of the cities of Orange and North Anaheim across from beautiful Rio Vista Park. We offer private and semi-private rooms, two fully handicapped bathrooms and a 25-foot elevated garden for residents.
